I Won’t Dump APC – Gov. Yari

Date:

The Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, has assured members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that he would not be leaving the party over the outcome of the Supreme court on the state’s election.

Speaking to journalists on Sunday, in his home town, Talata Mafara, Yari said since he was one of the founding fathers of the APC, he had no intention of dumping the party.

He also confirmed that some of his supporters have demanded that he dumps the ruling party after treatment meted to him by some leaders of the APC.

The Governor said the struggle to build the party has just started following the outcome of the court’s ruling on teh elections in the state.

Yari said: “Former Governors of Lagos, Babatunde Fashola; Osun, Rauf Aregbesola; the Governor of Imo, Rochas Okorocha; the current Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, and I toiled hard to build this party.”

“Therefore, I will not abandon the house I helped to build. The struggle has just started,” Yari added.
