Hon. Toba Adaramola: A Tested Grassroots Leader with a Record of Service, Ready for Greater Responsibility

Toba Adaramola
The people of Ekiti Central Federal Constituency I deserve representation that delivers results, not excuses. After critical review of leadership antecedents, stakeholders across Irepodun/Ifelodun and beyond are calling attention to the proven record of Honourable Toba Adaramola, former Chairman of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government and one-time Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Ekiti State chapter.
As council chairman, Hon. Adaramola executed an administration defined by tangible projects: rehabilitation of rural roads linking farm settlements, renovation of primary healthcare centres, provision of furniture and learning materials to public schools, and water projects in underserved communities. He initiated youth-focused skills acquisition programmes and, as ALGON Chairman, fostered cooperation among Ekiti’s 16 LGAs to attract state and federal attention to local government needs.
Hon. Adaramola facilitated employment for dozens of young constituents in the local government service, teaching service, and federal agencies through merit-based recommendations and persistent follow-up. He supported entrepreneurship via cooperative societies and linked artisans to empowerment schemes. Known as “Oga Toba” to the youth, he maintained an open-door policy and institutionalised town hall meetings, community dialogues, and youth engagement programmes that rebuilt trust between government and citizens.
A steadfast member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Adaramola has remained consistent in service long after leaving office. Party members and non-partisans alike attest that his line remains open to market women, artisans, and graduates seeking guidance on opportunities. The speed with which he responds to constituents’ needs has become a hallmark of his public life.
Why do Ekiti Central needs him now? The last two dispensations in Ekiti Central Federal Constituency I were marked by squandered opportunities and unfulfilled potential. Hon. Adaramola offers a contrast: a leader tested at the grassroots, experienced in inter-governmental relations through ALGON, and bound by conscience to community uplift. If supported for the House of Representatives, his track record shows he will translate federal presence into real benefits for our people. He is “Joy of many generations”, as often described by admirers.
We therefore call on all indigenes of Ekiti Central – at home and in the diaspora, across political divides – to rally round a proven asset. Ekiti needs voices that deliver rather than promise. Hon. Toba Adaramola is a developer, a bridge-builder, and a leader with a good conscience.
Ekiti Central Federal Constituency I can be better. With Hon. Adaramola, it will be.
