COFFHA to inaugurate new president, launch ₦300m skill acquisition centre fundraiser

The Committee of Friends for Humanity (COFFHA) has announced the investiture of Mrs Augustine Igbokwe as its new president and the launch of a ₦300 million fundraising campaign for the completion of a Skill Acquisition Centre.

In a statement issued on Saturday to Gatekeeper.ng, the humanitarian organisation said the investiture ceremony would hold on June 14, 2026, under the theme, “Build the Future, Today.”

According to the organisation, the appointment of Igbokwe reflects its commitment to compassionate and purposeful leadership aimed at expanding its humanitarian impact.

COFFHA said the new president would bring “fresh vision, energy, and dedication” to the role as the organisation enters another phase of growth and community service.

The organisation also disclosed plans to raise ₦300 million to complete and equip its proposed Skill Acquisition Centre designed to provide vocational training for youths, women and underserved members of society.

It noted that the centre would help beneficiaries acquire practical and marketable skills that could promote self-reliance and reduce poverty.

COFFHA appealed to individuals, corporate organisations, philanthropists and faith-based groups to support the project through donations and partnerships.

The organisation added that details about the investiture ceremony and fundraising campaign would be made available on its official website, COFFHA.

The Committee of Friends for Humanity is a non-profit organisation focused on community development, education and empowerment programmes across Nigeria.
