President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term ministerial list may be released soon and Nigerians are anxious to know who will make the list and what tribe, region and religion will be well represented in it.
However, a source close to the Presidency claimed that Buhari is using the help of close associate to draft the ministerial list.
Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-rufai, and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole, are reportedly the major players helping in drafting the lisKt.
The source said: “President Muhammadu Buhari is considering merit this time because he wants results from his Ministers. That was why he is listening to the Vice President, APC Party Chairman, and Governor Nasir El-rufai to assist in choosing competent hands among party members and from the private sector. He does not want noise makers but those who can do the job. He has summoned the trio to help him out.
“The Managing Director of Nigeria Port Authority, NPA, Hadiza Bala-Usman and former Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, may make the list because they possess the qualities needed,” the source said.
However, the relationship between president Buhari and Vice president Osinbajo has been very cordial and smooth. This underscores why Osinbajo has been in charge of the economy fully since the administration began.
Osinbajo recently held business meeting with some business leaders and AMCON leadership.
