The national Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole, on Wednesday promised that the party will not disappoint Nigerians.
Oshiomhole stated this after a meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Working Committee, NWC, in Aso Rock.
A Social Commentator and Aide of the President, Tolu Ogunlesi, quoted Oshiomhole as saying that the APC is planning to establish an institution of progressive studies to champion the ideals of the party.
He said the party’s National Chairman also described the APC as a party for poor Nigerians.
“APC is a pro-poor party; also focused on recreating the Nigerian middle class. Unless you create a middle class you cannot have progress,” he said.
Oshiomhole also said: “Our party will not go to sleep, we will work with the Executive and the Legislature to deliver on our campaign promises. We have the majority in the two houses of the National Assembly.”
