How Kelvin Emmanuel Chinedu Umeh’s Vandera Is Selling Everyday Independence
Vandera’s pitch is simple: Give people more control over their daily lives.
Founder Kelvin Emmanuel Chinedu Umeh built the brand around two independence tools:
1. Mobility independence: The Vandera Tricycle — a fully air-conditioned compact electric car with 4 doors, central locking, large rear-view screen, wiper and heater. Designed to charge at home from a normal socket, making everyday estate and town movement easier without fuel queues.
2. Security independence: A solar-powered, SIM-based camera with 3 lenses, colour night vision, 2-way talk and siren, backed by a monitoring station. Customers don’t have to stare at their phone all day — Vandera’s team watches and alerts them, with a full monthly report.
Vandera says both products are built for Nigerian conditions — where power, internet and distance matter.
The company, based in Abuja, is targeting estates first. Long-term, it wants to be known for practical tech that is useful, understandable, and designed around how people actually live — not just specs on paper.
