It is Imperative on our side the youths of Nigeria to start preparing for the way forward into 2023. The first set of questions I will ask the youth are:

– Are you a stakeholder in the democratic dispensation?

– What has been your contribution in the choice of leadership and economic well-being of our people?

It’s high time we take the lead role in determining the leaders of our choice. If we fail to prepare as early as possible, we will still find ourselves where we don’t want in 2023.

We are standing up for a just and legitimate cause to effect a change by challenging the status quo in creating alternative of young, educated and Patriotic leaders to contest in various levels of leadership in 2023.

–How can we ensure that is possible?

It is possible if we come together as one unit representing the youth aspirations across the country. We must unite as a joint unit of power seekers with other youth aspirants in various states, local government and ward levels to ensure that we are no longer spectators but the deciders of our various communities.

-Are you a card bearing member of any political movement? This is the time to come together and build the foundation for New Nigeria. Being a Member automatically gives you a negotiating chip.

Failing to join a political movement means 2023 the youth will continue to be side-lined in deciding the fate of our dear Nation.

The dream of a New Nigeria cannot be realized if we stick to old ways of doing things. In Nigeria, Educated and intelligent people are not our problem, the problem is identifying and developing their potential to reach their full potential has always been the bone of contention and Major setback in our leadership succession plans over the years.

Building a new Nigeria will require a total overhauling of the leadership recruitment system from states to local governments, down to ward levels. This is where the Foundation For New Nigeria (FANN) comes in.

FANN is a political movement that is aiming at creating an alternative set of Young leaders through identifying Educated graduates to take up the mantle of leadership in their various communities.

FANN leadership recruitment plan gives every Nigerian the chance to take part in the socio-political process of re-engineering the youth through Active political Participation and dedication to Nation Building.

The Republic of Finland recently elected a 34-year-old Prime Minister, and it’s sad that on our side of the world, youths are still jostling for unavailable jobs after years of educational investments and capacity building.

We know many of our young people that have sacrificed their lives Politically in the last 8 -10 years, but they have not been able to achieve anything in leadership for themselves talk less of given compensation for their efforts. That shows how weak we have been in standing up in demanding for our rightful quota as youths.

History has it that those who fought for their rights never had it on silver platter.

We must stand up for ourselves to effect the change we deserve. This movement will give you back your inalienable rights to choose leaders and be chosen as One.

In this election coming election We will be vocal in our cause, moderate in our actions and courageous in our demands Until we gainfully earn our rightful place in the administration of our lives.

This phenomena of imposing leadership on us is a cancer sore that will never heal until we uproot it completely and decide our fate by own ourselves”.

The youths of Nigeria have been remarkable in the books of history over the years and we are looking forward to ensuring that we gainfully revive that spirit that we are known for. We will change the Nigerian identity with our youthful shear brilliance and distinctive academic intellect and excellence that Nigerians are known with in various capacities around the world. Though our times are different, The only tool available for us to effect change is coming together to stand up for our right through political participation.
