Manchester United striker, Mason Greenwood will not play for the club this season, as they continue an internal investigation.

The 21-year-old was suspended by the Premier League club after his arrest in January 2022.

Greenwood recently saw all charges relating to attempted rape, assault and coercive behaviour dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service.

While he has been cleared to resume his professional career, United are still looking into the matter.

The Daily Star reports that the investigation will not be concluded any time soon.

And this means Greenwood is expected to sit out the remainder of the season before a decision is made on his future.

Greenwood has a contract until June 2025 with the Red Devils.
