Venezuela demands proof of life of Maduro, wife from US govt
The Venezuelan government on Saturday demanded “immediate proof of life” of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores after the US announced he had been captured and taken out of the country.
Venezuela’s Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, has announced that she is unaware of the location of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife.
She urged the United States to provide a “proof of life” concerning Maduro and his wife.
Daily Sun earlier reported that United States President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that Maduro and his wife have been captured and flown to the US.
The vice president said that the US must show that the President and his wife are alive.
United States Senator Mike Lee had said that Maduro will face criminal charges in the United States.
This was after Trump announced the capture of Maduro and his wife on Saturday.
Rodríguez announced on Saturday morning that she is “unaware of the location of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife”, urging “the United States to provide a ‘proof of life’ for them.
