UEFA has appointed referee Irfan Peljto to officiate the Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash between Arsenal and Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Gatekeeper reports that this will be the second time the Bosnian official has taken charge of a game involving Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Peljto officiated Real Madrid’s 1-0 win against Leipzig in the Round of 16 last season.

Meanwhile, the Champions League quarter-final clash between Arsenal and Real Madrid will take place at the Emirates Stadium at 8pm.

Arsenal come into the game following a 1-1 draw with Everton in their most recent Premier League match over the weekend.

The Gunners currently sit in second position on the Premier League table, behind leaders Liverpool.
