Truck Knocks Down Lagos Pedestrian Bridge

The pedestrian bridge at the Alapere Estate, Ketu axis of Lagos, has collapsed after a collision involving a yet-to-be-identified truck.

According to reports, the incident, which happened around 12 am Friday morning, saw the truck ramming into the bridge.

X user #trafficpalava, who shared the video, captioned, “Alapere estate pedestrian bridge knocked down by a heavy-duty truck.

“A container-laden truck hit the Alapere bridge along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway overnight and brought down part of the bridge. The vehicular movement towards the Ikeja and Ibadan axis is affected.”
