President Bola Tinubu has received copies of the proposed 2027 United Nations, UN, budget from Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Jimoh Ibrahim.

Ibrahim presented the seven-volume budget to Tinubu at the State House in Abuja on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

Expressing his pleasure during the meeting, Tinubu told the ambassador, “I am proud of you.”

Ibrahim, who chairs the UN Committee on Budget and Administrative Matters, explained that although the proposed budget is still subject to scrutiny and approval by member states, presenting it to the Nigerian leader was significant.

He expressed optimism that Nigeria’s role in the UN’s budgetary and administrative processes would translate into positive outcomes for the country.
