Seyi Tinubu Denies Abducting, Bribing NANS President

Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has publicly denied allegations made against him by Comrade Atiku Isah, the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).

Comrade Isah had earlier accused Tinubu of orchestrating his abduction and assault, following his refusal to accept a purported N100 million bribe allegedly offered to silence student voices.

The allegations, which have sparked outrage and heated debate on social media, were swiftly addressed by Tinubu, who described them as “completely fictional.”

In a post on Instagram on Friday, Seyi Tinubu categorically distanced himself from any meeting or interaction with Comrade Isah, either in Lagos or anywhere else.

“I have never held any meeting to discuss any subject matter with Comrade Atiku Isah, neither in Lagos nor anywhere in the world,” he said. “I have never knowingly met him before, nor did I go anywhere with thugs. All these claims by Atiku Isah are entirely made up.”

Expressing disbelief over the nature of the accusations, Tinubu added, “How can someone lie with so much confidence? This is clearly an attempt to defame my character. May God be with you, Comrade Atiku Isah.”

The denial has drawn mixed reactions from the public, with some calling for a thorough investigation to establish the facts, while others demand a retraction from the NANS president if the allegations prove unfounded.

As the controversy unfolds, both parties have yet to present verifiable evidence to support their respective claims. Legal experts suggest that the matter may escalate into a defamation suit if not swiftly resolved.
