Senator Iyiola Omisore Defects To APC
Omisore contested 2018 governorship poll on the platform of the Social Democratic Party, but went into coalition with the APC before the September 28 rerun.
Senator Iyiola Omisore, former Deputy Governor of Osun State, has reportedly defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Omisore contested 2018 governorship poll on the platform of the Social Democratic Party, but went into coalition with the APC before the September 28 rerun.
Recall that Omisore, on Monday, February 15, was at his polling unit in Ward 6, Moore, Ile-Ife, in convoy of Osun State Deputy Governor, Benedict Alabi, to pick the APC membership card.
Meanwhile, amid growing speculations surrounding his planned defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), ex-minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, on Saturday, February 13, “bumped” into an “old friend” Femi Adesina.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, in a tweet, said he met the media and publicity adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari at Abuja airport.
The meeting, according to FFK, was accidental, with the former aviation minister jokingly saying he was “really in trouble” – referring to conversation drawn to him recently.
He described Adesina as a brother and pastor, saying it was a “pleasure” they both met.
“Was delighted to have bumped into my old friend and brother Pastor Femi Adesina, Special Advisor to President Buhari on Media & Publicity at Abuja airport this morning! “
