Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday, reacted to the pipeline explosion that occurred in the state late Sunday, January 19.
The explosion reportedly caused by vandals, was said to have caused the death of two people as many houses were razed.
Sanwo-Olu said through his Twitter handle: “My thoughts and prayers are with the families and businesses affected in the unfortunate incident at Abule Egba.
“We are thankful for the brave members of LASEMA and our fire service that swung into action working all night to reduce the impact. Pipeline vandals will be shown no mercy.”
The governor further urged the people of the country to work together to ensure such man-made incidents like the one that happened in Abule Egba are avoided.
“Security and information gathering along volatile corridors will increase and a stronger synergy with communities must happen. We all have a role to play,” Sanwo-Olu said.
