The new Lagos State Head of Service, Bode Agoro, on Tuesday, officially assumed office as the 22nd HOS after the voluntary resignation of Hakeem Muri-Okunola on September 29.
This was disclosed on the official X handle of the Lagos State Government on Tuesday.
According to the statement, Agoro promised to continue to ensure good welfare support and a conducive work environment for all public servants across the state.
The statement partly reads, ” In his words, welfare of public servants is a priority because things are very hard and difficult for everyone, we need to make life better for everyone by ensuring that we cascade down adequate welfare to public servants.
“Welfare to me is two things, personal and professional, professional is constant training and retraining of staff, because if you do not train the civil servants, who are the backbone of the government, you are creating a problem in the system”.
Agoro further implored all the workforce to cooperate and liaise with their respective Permanent Secretaries and solicited their support and cooperation for him to have a successful tenure in his new appointment.
