The National Emergency Management Agency, Edo Operations Office, has commenced the distribution of relief materials to communities affected by floods and erosion in the Ndokwa/Ukwani Federal Constituency of Delta State.
This was disclosed in a statement and photos posted on the official X handle of NEMA on Thursday.
The statement read, “The Head of Operations was represented at the distribution exercise by the Head of the Relief and Rehabilitation Unit.
“The Legislative Aide of the member of the House of Representatives, Nnamdi Ezechi, received the NEMA team at Kwale.
“The senior legislative aide, Princewill Ogbolu, thanked the Director General of NEMA on behalf of the beneficiaries for the relief materials and promised that the items would be used judiciously.
“The relief materials distribution to the affected persons was as a result of the Director General of NEMA, Alhaji Mustapha Habib’s approval for the affected communities in Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constitituency.”
The statement added that the exercise was conducted with community representatives, and some of the items distributed included food, non-food items, and building materials.
