Peter Obi mourns Ghanaian ministers, others killed in air crash

Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has extended his condolences to the President of Ghana, John Mahama, and the people of Ghana over the tragic loss of key public officials in a helicopter crash on Tuesday.

In a post via his X handle on Wednesday, Obi mourned the deaths of the Defence Minister, Edward Boamah, Environment Minister, Ibrahim Muhammed, and six others who were on board the ill-fated flight.

“This is a painful moment not just for Ghana but for all of us across the region who stand in solidarity with you,” Obi said.

He expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved families, the people of Ghana, and members of the Ghanaian Armed Forces, urging them to find strength in this difficult time.

“May God comfort the families and the entire nation in this time of sorrow, and may the departed rest in perfect peace,” Obi prayed the for departed souls on behalf of his family and the Obidient movement.
