Osun govt to enrol pensioners on health insurance scheme

The Osun State Government has revealed that it is working on a plan to enrol contributory pensioners in the state health insurance scheme.

This is even as Governor Ademola Adeleke has issued a directive for the immediate payment of pension entitlements as planned in the template released earlier in 2023.

Adeleke dropped the hints while receiving leaders of thought from the state on Friday and noted that he has received many representations from the pensioners.

The governor restated his determination to address the issues in line with his campaign promises.

Acknowledging that the template released earlier in 2023 on the clearing of outstanding salaries and pensions is still in force, Governor Adeleke subsequently directed the Head of Service to fast-track the implementation by ensuring the payment of pension arrears.
