Olusina Thorpe Becomes PS Ministry Of Information, Lagos

Olusina Isaac Thrope has been appointed as the permanent secretary, ministry of Information Lagos.

His appointment followed his successful tenor as Director, Public Affairs in the same ministry.

Thrope, who is a thoroughbred communication professional, promised to bring to bear his expertise in the information management and dissemination in the ministry.

He spoke on Monday at the ministry of information secretariat when a reception was held in his honour by friends and staff in the ministry. He assured the staff of the ministry his commitment to their welfare while urging them to be dedicated to the THEME agenda of the government.

” I wish to inform my colleagues in the ministry of information that this appointment is for us all. It is a call for a higher service to Lagos State ministry of Information. In this age and times, information management is 24/7. Please get ready for this in the coming days” Thrope said.

The outgoing permanent secretary, Mrs Omobolanle Ogundola extolled the outstanding qualities of Thrope, adding she is fulfilled and happy the ministry is in “a good and faithful hand”.

According to her, “Olusina Thrope has proved to be a faithful public servant. Humble, diligent and excellent in the service of the state. I want to urge everyone in this ministry to support him more than you have supported me. Let us make Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s dream of greater Lagos come true through this powerful ministry”

Chairman, Lagos State Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Mr Segun Mcmedal noted the institute is more excited with the appointment because the newly appointed permanent secretary is a core professional and an active member of the body.
