As I ruminated over what to pen down celebrating Nike Adeyemi on this day of her birth, many thoughts keep flying through my mind but chief among these thoughts is a life of impact she is living. It became clearer to me she was born for this purpose: healing the wounded hearts through genuine compassion and love.

Some five decades and five years ago when she was born, it looked like every child born really but for those with spiritual inner eyes, her birth was purely “abnormal”. She was not just born to occupy space but to carry out divine agenda from God.

From studying Architecture at the Obafemi Awolowo University, God’s divine agenda for her is to redesign destinies, heal the wounded and preach love global. The architecture was for her to lay a physical foundation for the spiritual side of her calling in life.

Got born again at an early stage in life coupled with sound parental guidance, God made Nike Adeyemi’s path to fulfilling His agenda smooth from the inception. She could identify, hear and follow God’s leading when she came to marriage age. Her marriage to the senior pastor, Daystar Christian Centre, Lagos, Dr Sam Adeyemi was a seal of God’s direction for her life over 26 years ago.

Having been very clear about her mission and calling in life, Nike Adeyemi took her passion and love for the downtrodden to the midst of “call girls” around Allen Avenue, Ikeja Lagos where she constantly ministered to them, converting them to Christ.

“I got the inspiration to establish the Foundation as far back as 1997 when I genuinely developed an interest in women’s welfare. That was when I realized I had the gift of compassion,” Nike recalled.

In fact, some of those rescued then are ministers of God today; shaping lives in their circles for God. Imagine if Nike didn’t obey God’s call?

Nike is a global voice for love to nations. She teaches and demonstrates God’s love to individuals and communities; many are empowered to live amazing lives! Among other initiatives, the ministry coordinates relief efforts for needy communities. In 2017, Nike through her dedicated team went to almost slum communities in Lagos preaching Christ and giving them what they need to make lives better.

At her orphanage home in Magodo Lagos state, many motherless babies are there being taken care of fully.  At her Love Home Orphanage, many children thrive, assured of a bright future. Just some years ago, she sponsored some of the motherless babies from primary school till some of them graduated from one of the private Universities in Nigeria. Among them are medical doctors, teachers, and others doing well in their various chosen careers.

Her Real Woman Foundation (RWF) located in Lagos, Nigeria dedicated to healing and empowering women and children through the Peace Villa shelter/rehab center for women.  The Foundation, over the years, has embarked on healing and restoration to the depressed women in society.

Several women have gone from the streets to earn college degrees, own businesses, and resettle in new communities. Rescued children thrive with the hope of a brighter future.

Nike strives to eradicate sexual violence against women and to fight the scourge of prostitution in society. Through the Foundation, she has impacted women of various classes by periodically organizing seminars and conferences targeted at their needs.

The organization addresses issues that women face, their families, and society at large. Seasoned speakers, who are successful in their various fields of endeavor, are usually invited to deliver life-transforming messages.

As a part reward for her influence and global impact, she was awarded The Inspirational Woman Award by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) for her dedicated service to empowering women.

At Daystar Christian Centre, Lagos where she serves as deputy senior pastor along with her lovely husband Dr. Sam Adeyemi, testimonies of changed lives abound. Her teachings from the scriptures heal, transform and position people into the true nature God desires.

Today, as she clocks 55, the world needs to celebrate this angel in a human form. For many of her followers, the prayer is for God to preserve, protect and provide her with more wisdom and anointing for doing God’s work; celebrating another 55 years.
