Nigeria’s inflation rate drops for seventh consecutive time in October
Nigeria’s inflation rate dropped for the seventh consecutive time in October 2025 to 16.05 percent, down from 18.02 percent in September 2025.
This is according to the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, October Consumer Price Index and inflation data released on Monday.
According to the CPI data, the country’s inflation rate declined by 0.93 percent, month-on-month.
The report showed that the food inflation decline rate was -0.37 percent on a month-on-month basis.
“In October 2025, the headline inflation rate eased to 16.05 percent relative to the September 2025 headline inflation rate of 18.02 percent. The headline inflation rate was 0.93 percent MoM.
“The food inflation rate was -0.37 percent MoM,” NBS wrote on X on Monday.
