MTN Y’ello Care Wraps Up Successful Campaign with Grand Closing Ceremony

Date:

In a spectacular display of goodwill and community support, MTN’s annual corporate social responsibility campaign, Y’ello Care, came to a triumphant close with a grand ceremony that left attendees inspired and uplifted.

The closing ceremony, which held at the MTN Plaza, Ikoyi, Lagos on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 brought together MTN employees, partner organizations, and members of the community to celebrate the impact of this year’s Y’ello Care initiative. The event was a culmination of a month-long series of activities focused on education with the theme, “Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow.”

During the ceremony, MTN executives highlighted the achievements of the campaign, including the rebuilding of classrooms, replacement of chairs and tables, provision of learning tools and holding sessions of vocational skills for Iwerekun Community High School students alongside the partnership of KNOSK Educational Initiative for the ‘study better packs’.

The company also announced plans for continued support for education and expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of this year’s Y’ello Care campaign while reiterating the company’s commitment to making a positive impact in the communities it serves.

“We should all celebrate ourselves. When we do this project, we don’t have an idea as to the impact we are making, but we are actually doing something for the future and when I look at the contributions, the spirit of giving is what is most important”, Chief Financial Officer & Ag CEO, MTN Nigeria, Modupe Kadri said.

As the ceremony came to a close, attendees left with a renewed sense of purpose and a deep appreciation of the power of corporate social responsibility to transform lives and build a brighter future for all.

MTN’s Y’ello Care campaign 2024 may have ended, but its legacy of compassion, generosity, and community spirit will continue to resonate as we look forward to Y’ello Care 2025.
