Mixed Reactions Trail Trending Dance Video Of Comedienne Emmanuella

Published

on

Popular comedienne Emanuella Samuel has begun to trend on social media as a video of her dancing went viral on Thursday.
While some argued that she was too young to be posting content like that, others considered the video to be acceptable and applauded the comedienne for her growth.
Posting the video on X, formerly Twitter, CarterVee4 wrote, “See pikin when we train o.”
Retweeting the video, Oladapomikky1 wrote, “We need to caution Emmanuella she’s 13 for crying out loud mehn.”
Another user, Allezamani tweeted, “So with the look of things, Emmanuella is just 14 years old and she’s already sexualizing herself on social media? That is absolutely wrong, her parents or guardian should caution her lifestyle thoroughly, the fact that she became a celebrity at a very young age, does not make her an adult at just the age of 14.”
IsdoreChima also tweeted, “How old is this girl again? Is she up to 18? Now I think she’s doing too much at her age, she should be focused on her education and not wearing stuff that shows her cleavage at this very young age.”
Another tweep, DarcAlbino, replied, “They say she’s 13 looking like sweet 16. My own is, make she dey careful sha.”
Cautioning users who sexualised the video in their captions, RealDukeofBenue wrote, “Y’all should stop lusting already…she is just and still an innocent child. She’s 13.”
IamTheIroko also tweeted, “All Emmanuella did was make a video of herself dancing and as a father to a girl child, I see my daughter make dance videos or even dance in front of cameras and I join her most times if only to take advantage and bond. I don’t get the outrage, allow children to be children.”
Amidst the comments condemning the video, some other X users chose to praise Emmanuella for her growth.
Uncle_Onos tweeted, “I like the fact that she didn’t allow fame get in between her studies. Her handlers are doing quite a great deal of job on her.
“There was no way she would have remained ‘Emmanualla’ forever. It was a fame that is tied to her young age. Her management did well to take advantage of those moments. Happy for her growth.”
JRAYBLUE tweeted, “It is really good to see her doing well for herself. She looks like she’s financially very stable. That’s awesome!”

Bambam

Reality TV star and actress, Bamike Olawunmi, popularly known as Bambam, has recounted her traumatic childbirth experience.

It should be recalled that Bambam and her husband, Teddy A, welcomed their first child, Zendaya, in 2020, barely a year after their wedding.

Speaking in a recent episode of the ‘Me & My Grils’ podcast, Bambam said her first childbirth experience was traumatic.

She recalled that her kidney failed and her liver and other vital organs shut down in the process.

The reality star noted that a lot of stillbirths are due to negligence.

She said, “A lot of stillbirths are due to negligence. It’s either the doctor was not sound or the nurse didn’t do her job on time or they arrived the hospital late.

“During my first labour, my kidney failed, my heart was weak, my liver…everything was just shutting down because of childbirth. She [my daughter] had detached from the placenta. If I was a second late [to the hospital] she would have lost oxygen and I would have had a stillbirth?

“Everytime I look at her, I just say, ‘What if…?’ The what ifs have tormented me. They tormented me so much. I will look at her and I will just… even just remembering I’m getting so nervous. The what ifs were so many and they haunted me for a while. I had to get therapy to walk me through being grateful.”

Mercy Chinwo: Court orders arrest of VeryDarkMan for defamation

Published

on

The Chief Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, has issued a bench warrant to arrest blogger Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), for “criminal defamation” of gospel singer Mercy Chinwo’s reputation.

The magistrate directed the Nigeria Police Force, along with other law enforcement authorities, to arrest VeryDarkMan and bring him to court to answer the charges leveled against him.

Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna issued the bench warrant on Thursday, March 13, 2025, after VeryDarkMan failed to appear before the magistrate despite a court summons issued on March 5, 2025.

Though VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, requested that the magistrate reconsider the bench warrant and that he physically produce his client in court, Magistrate Iyanna denied the request and insisted that VeryDarkMan be produced in court by security agents.

When contacted, Adeyanju told Channels Television that a bench warrant was issued against his client.

“Yes, a bench warrant has been issued against him for failure to show up in court.

“They are just interested in media trial over the matter. They are not interested in prosecuting the matter,” Adeyanju said.

The bench warrant stemmed from alleged defamatory statements made by VDM on social media, accusing Chinwo of involvement in a contractual dispute and the purported diversion of $345,000 linked to her former record label boss, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, also known as Eezee Tee.

In support of her claims, Chinwo furnished the court with documentary evidence, including emails and payment receipts, to substantiate that VDM’s allegations were not only entirely false but damning and injurious to her public image and reputation.

The complainant’s lawyers led by Pelumi Olajengbesi of Abuja-based law firm, Law Corridor, Chinwo said the alleged actions of the defendant are contrary to Sections 391 of the Penal Code and Section 24 (1)(B) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention etc) Act 2015.
