Former Kano State Governor and leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, has denied a viral video attributing to him comments against the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
In a statement posted on his verified Facebook page, ob Saturday, Kwankwaso disassociated himself from the statements credited to him, describing them as false and as the handiwork of political mischief-makers.
In his words: ” My attention has been drawn to a statement purportedly stating my position on the recurring political realignments in Nigeria. I wish to categorically state that such statements are false, unfounded, and the products of political mischief,”.
Kwankwaso remarked that he has consciously avoided public commentary on the ongoing political developments and has no intention of changing that position for now.
“I have refrained from commenting on contemporary political events, and I will continue to do so for the time being,” he added.
He therefore urged members of the public and the media to verify political statements attributed to him through his verified social media handles and official communication channels.
“In this regard, I urge the public to only engage with statements that come from my public handles and other official sources,” he concluded.
