Just In: Seun Kuti released from Prison

Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti was released on Tuesday night on bail from the detention of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Lagos State.

His release from the police detention was confirmed by his attorney, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, SAN, in a telephone interview with our correspondent on Tuesday night.

Olumide-Fusika confirmed, “Yes, Ṣeun Kuti was released minutes ago.

“His bail conditions had been perfected since last Thursday, but the police asked for an extension to remand him in their custody until today, (Tuesday), to conclude investigation.”
