‘It would have been avoided’ – Shehu Sani on Russian filming Ghanaian, Kenyan women
Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, says the case of the Russian man who recorded sexual encounters with women in Kenya and Ghana would have been avoided if the women held on to their dignity.
In a post on his verified X handle on Thursday, Sani lamented that due to the Russian man’s skin colour and greed, within five minutes of introduction, the women lowered their pride, dignity and moral standards.
He said the women now permanently ruined their lives in video clips that would remain in the cyber space forever, expressing concern for their children.
Sani applauded the Government of Ghana for the arrest warrant issued against the Russian man.
He, therefore, stressed that Nigerian Immigration officials must not issue visas to foreigners who do not have verifiable business to do in the country even though they come as tourists.
The former senator stated that this is a moment to enforce stricter immigration rules and learn from the tragic experience in order to protect others.
DAILY POST reports that a Russian man covertly filmed sexual encounters with women in the Ghana and Kenya and then shared the footage online without their consent.
Reacting, the lawmaker said, “How would the kids of these women deal with the trauma of this viral video clips of their mother in circulation? This will definitely alter and negatively affect their lives forever.
“It has been reported that there are hundreds of ‘white guys’ wearing Sunglasses with cameras roaming around many African countries and doing same.
“Nowadays everything has camera including wristbands, wristwatches, pens, cufflinks, etc. African ladies must be careful.”
