The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba has posted Assistant Inspector-General of Police John Ogbonaya Amadi as Ag. DIG Department of Research and Planning.
Amadi, who will supervise from the Force Headquarters, Abuja, is the DIG representing South-East geo-political zone.
IGP also ordered the posting of CP Moronkeji Olusegun Adesina as Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command.
Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi announced the appointments in a statement on Monday.
Amadi, from Ebonyi State, has a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Biology) and a Master’s Degree in Education, both from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

The senior officer attended courses in Nigeria and abroad including the Advance Detective Course at the Police Staff College in Jos, and the National Security Course, Police Academy in Cairo, Egypt.
The National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) member was Commissioner of Police, Railway Command, Western Ports Authority, Lagos; Airport Command, Lagos; AIG in charge of Maritime, Lagos.
Until his recent posting, Acting DIG Amadi was a Directing Staff at the NIPSS, Kuru near Jos, the capital of Plateau State.
CP Adesina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), Ogun State, and a Law Degree from the University of Calabar, Cross River State.
The member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Virginia, USA, was until now the CP General Investigations, Force Criminal Investigations Department, Abuja.
