President Muhammadu Buhari has praised the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, for his faithfulness to the party and sweeping reforms, while also reassuring him of his support as he continues to fight the “go od fight”.
He said this while meeting with the National Chairman in Abuja after a Federal High Court in Kano set aside an earlier ruling of a High Court in Abuja restraining Oshiomhole from presenting himself as the Chairman of the party.
Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and some other deviants in the party were identified as the brain behind the contentious court ruling as part of their plot to unseat Adams Oshiomhole and undermine the party processes in their respective states.
“You are a good party man and a very good National Chairman”, President Buhari told Oshiomhole in acknowledgement of his positive reforms and gains recorded by the party under his watch.
“God never abandons anyone who fights a good fight. Go back to your office for the party is solidly with you,” President Buhari continued as he congratulated Oshiomhole for prevailing once again over those who sought to subvert his office and use the courts to secure his ouster.
Oshiomhole emerged from the meeting with all smiles, explaining to the Press that he understand the source of the challenges but that he remains undeterred as he is focused on consolidating gains recorded by the party and institutionalizing the positive reforms to strengthen the party across the country.
