Former football star Gareth Bale has revealed that the fear of going bankrupt after retirement was one of his biggest worries during his playing career.
Speaking candidly, Bale said he was always mindful of how many athletes struggle financially after their careers end due to poor money management and excessive spending.
“Going bankrupt was something that always scared me,” he admitted. “You read about athletes who retire and end up with nothing because they don’t know how to handle their finances or what to do after football.”
