The recent decision of the Ekiti State University to relieve some of its staff their duties is leading to legal issues.
The school authority, through the PRO had earlier, said most of those sacked were either over-age or or lack the needed requirement to deliver.
Three of the ex- staff, Mrs Oyinlola Omowunmi Yinka, Mr Oke Sanmi and Idowu Lawrence Tosin through their lawyer, BANJO AYENAKIN & CO have written to the institution demanding their reinstatement or they meet in court.
The lawyer, BANJO AYENAKIN & CO , who spoke with Gatekeeper News said his clients were rightfully employed in 2016, confirmed since 2018 but wrongful terminated by December 2019.
He maintained his clients “appointments were regular and proper contrary to the insinuations by your institution that their appointments were irregular”.
A copy of the demand notice made available to Gatekeeper News has received by the institution was dated January 22nd, 2020.
When contacted, head, corporate communications of the institution, Bode Olofinmuagun said he is not aware of the letter of the ex staff.
