Georgia progressed into the knockout stages in their first major tournament thanks to the result.
After the match, Kvaratskhelia swapped shirts with Ronaldo and posted them on social media alongside the Man of the Match award.
“Before the match there was a meeting [with Ronaldo] and he wished me success; I’d never imagine he would come and talk to me.
“He’s a great player and a great person. That’s why he’s a great personality in and out of football; I have so much respect for him, he’s one of the best players in the world.

EPL: Man Utd could sack me – Amorim admits
Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has admitted his job will be “in danger” as the team’s poor run of form continues.
United lost their third consecutive match with a 2-0 defeat to Wolves on Boxing Day.
Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag during the November international break and has had little time to work with his players.
But despite the mitigating factors which have seen United embark on a run of five defeats in the last seven games, Amorim has said he does not feel safe at Old Trafford.
“The manager of Manchester United can never, no matter what, be comfortable,” Amorim said.
“I know that if we don’t win, regardless, if they pay the buyout [for me] or not, I know that every manager is in danger and I like that because that is the job, so I understand the question.
“You can argue that I have been here one month and I’ve had four training [sessions], but we are not winning. That is the reality and I’m quite comfortable with that.”

EPL: Amorim considers Osimhen transfer
Manchester United are considering a move for Victor Osimhen, as Marcus Rashford appears set to leave Old Trafford in January.
Rashford has fallen out of favour under manager Ruben Amorim in recent weeks. The 27-year-old forward has been excluded from Amorim’s matchday squad for three consecutive games.
Rashford has already expressed his readiness to pursue a new challenge in his career.
According to Sky Sports, United have shown interest in signing Napoli loanee and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen. Rashford’s potential departure could pave the way for the arrival of the Nigerian forward.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan this summer, is in scintillating form, having scored 12 goals in 15 appearances, including nine in the Turkish Super Lig.
