EPL: Why Man Utd didn’t appeal Casemiro’s red card – Ten Hag

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has given reasons the club will not appeal Casemiro’s red card against Crystal Palace.
Casemiro was sent off in the second half of the game at Old Trafford following a VAR review.
The Brazilian was deemed to have grabbed Eagles midfielder Will Hughes by the throat.
United could have appealed against the decision as it was a straight red, but they would have run the risk of seeing the three-match ban extended.
Ten Hag was asked on Tuesday if United had considered contesting the ruling.
He replied: “Consider, yeah. Still it’s not the right decision but I don’t think we have a chance in a legal process.
“I always have to play with the players who are available and we have a squad, we have many good players in our squad who are also not playing in the starting XI and I have to do it. After a game I can’t say Casemiro is not there.”

Champions League: PSG rally comeback against Aston Villa, Barcelona thrash Dortmund

Paris Saint-Germain had to come from behind to beat Aston Villa 3-1 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday night.
The Premier League side took the lead at the Parc des Princes through Morgan Rogers against the run of play. Rogers finished off a smooth passage of play that ended with the ball being squared into his path by Youri Tielemans.
However, PSG, who were crowned Ligue 1 champions last weekend, bounced back with three goals to take control of the tie. Desire Doue levelled before the break with a curling effort, but Khvicha Kvaratskhelia put the hosts in front with a sublime solo goal. There was still enough time for left-back Nuno Mendes to add a third for Luis Enrique’s side.
In the other game of the night, Robert Lewandowski scored a brace as Barcelona hammered Borussia Dortmund 4-0. Raphina and Lamine Yamal also got on the scoresheet for the LaLiga giants.
