Suzanne Emma, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Emeka Ike, has responded to her ex-husband’s recent claims that her allegations of domestic violence against him were false and led to significant losses on his part.

In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Emma maintained that Ike had subjected her to abuse throughout their 17-year marriage. She recounted a specific incident at the hospital when their child was seriously ill, describing how Ike verbally berated her and physically assaulted her.

“There was a time we went to the hospital; my child was sick. We didn’t have money. And I was trying to negotiate with the hospital to treat the child, and we would pay later. It was taking a little bit of time, and he [Emeka Ike] just came in and started yelling at me, ‘You’re a fool. You don’t know how to do things. What’s all this? You can’t even talk to them. Who are they? They’re beneath you, and you’re allowing them to do this and all that.’

“And I got upset and said, ‘Sir, why are you being a jerk?’ And I went off into the car to sit down. Immediately he [Emeka Ike] was coming into the car; his punch was the first thing that I was seeing on my jaw.”

Reekado Banks

Popular singer, Reekado Banks has threatened to expose a saboteur of budding talents in the Nigerian music industry.

Banks described the mysterious figure as either “demonic or clueless”, adding that the person somehow manages to find the best talent whose careers he sabotages with poor decisions.

The singer hinted that the individual has a history of attracting emerging talents, which ultimately sabotages their success, and he promised to reveal the person in an upcoming interview.

In a cryptic post on X on Tuesday, Banks wrote, “One day, I’ll take an interview to talk about someone in the corners of the entertainment industry, who’s either absolutely clueless or plain demonic.

“Somehow, the brightest budding talents fall in their lap and either through cluelessness or pure demonic activities, they agree to policies that effectively slow these talents down and for some other talents, frustrate them out of pursuing their dreams. One day…”

Gatekeeper recalls that Hushpuppi whose real name is Ramon Abbas, was arrested by the FBI in 2020, and convicted of internet fraud in the U.S.

Before his arrest, Daddy Freeze in 2019 shared videos of his visit to Hushpuppi’s Dubai Palazzo Versace home on his YouTube.

Defending himself in the past, Freeze claimed he never knew Hushpuppi to be a criminal but an influencer.

However, Daddy Freeze in a new video shared by Tunde Ednut on Sunday, admitted to being friends with Hushpuppi, despite suspecting that his money was not legit.

“Hushpuppi has never given me money before, not even $1. But Hushpuppi gave me friendship when nobody wanted to be my friend because they believed I was the devil.

“ The first time I met Hushpuppi was when I was picked with some influencers to go to Dubai, and I’d already started the movement then (#FreeTheSheepple) but the influencers didn’t like me. And that was the time the church that I attended for 10 years rejected me. Everybody rejected me. Then Hushpuppi sends me a DM that ‘where are you, come over’.

“So we hung out with some of our friends and we gist, took pictures, and put on his snapchat. So, why won’t I be friends with someone who was my friend, how am I going to be angry with him? I might have guessed that his money was not legit. But Davido in one of his songs said ‘dey for who dey for you”.

Musibau Alani, a veteran Fuji musician and stepfather of Afrobeats singer Asake, has denied snatching Asake’s mother, Fali, from his father, Odunsi (also known as Malo).

The controversy arose after Odunsi claimed that Asake had neglected him, leading to widespread social media discussions.

Musibau stated that he met Fali as a single mother who had previously divorced from Malo and married her, caring for Asake and raising three children with her.

He further added that Malo thanked him for taking care of Asake when they subsequently met.

Musibau confirmed his marriage to Asake’s mother during a media interview, saying the pair produced three children, two of whom are now deceased.

Recounting how he met and married Asake’s mother, he said “I met Fali as a single mother; she was already separated from her husband, whom I didn’t know at the time. We got along, and she moved in with me along with her son, Ahmed. I trained the boy.”

He also spoke about what transpired when he met Asake’s father on a later date after he’d married Fali.

He said, “I eventually met her ex-husband, Malo, who was working at a council in Lagos Island. The day he saw me there, he told his colleagues to thank me for taking good care of his son, Asake.

“For the record, I did not snatch Fali from her first husband, neither was I present nor played at Asake’s naming ceremony.”
