According to Ajogbeje, the former SSG is a unifying factor, a bridge builder and the continuation APC Ekiti state needs to consolidate many achievements of the current governor, Kayode Fayemi.
In his words, ” Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) is a man who has sacrificed a lot for this state. He was there as secretary for the committee that agitated for the creation of our dear state over 25 years ago. He has served in many positions including recently as the SSG to the current government before he resigned.”
” I am convinced our party has a lot to gain if Oyebanji wins the coming primary and subsequently the general election come June 2022.” he said.
Speaking on Sunday at his home in Afao/Kajola ward, Ikere Ekiti, Ajogbeje, who is aspiring to represent his people of Ikere Constituency 1 at the house of assembly come 2023, stated that the experiences of Biodun Oyebanji in governance under the tutelage of governor Kayode Fayemi will be an added value.

The party chieftain noted that governor Kayode Fayemi has laid ” very solid” foundation for the progress and development needed by the state. He believes Oyebanji will build on such landmark foundations for the prosperity of all in Ekiti state.
Ajogbeje maintains that APC members in Ekiti need to close ranks ” not allowing infiltrators” from the opposition parties destroy the good work and unity within the party.
On whether the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) can win the forth coming election in the state, Ajogbeje said ” forget it. PDP is dead and buried in Ekiti state. As I speak, PDP is in disarray. The party lacks focused leadership. PDP is a divided party struggling to survive. Ekiti people will never vote for such unorganized party anymore”
