For any aide or serving commissioner under the administration of Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi who has interest to contest the coming governorship election, has till December 18 to resign.
In a statement signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, on Wednesday, Fayemi said the development became imperative in order to ensure cohesion and excellent service delivery – two major hallmarks of the administration- remain uncompromised.
Though the statement never wish any interested well in their decisions, but there have been allegations that the governor has endorsed his current Secretary to the State Government, Biodun Oyebanji.
Ekiti 2022: Support Group For Oyebanji Birthed
Just recently, a group believed to be loyal to the governor openly raised support group with the APC in Ekiti state for the SSG.
In compliance with directives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has slated the governorship primaries for January, ahead of the June 2022 governorship election.
