COVID 19: Olumilua Distributes Food Stuff To Ikere Residents

As part of efforts to cushion the effects of COVID 19 pandemic lock down in Ikere Local Government, Ekiti State Commissioner for Information and Values Orientation, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua has distributed food stuff and other households items to the residents of the town.

Aare Muyiwa Olumilua who hails from the town said : “I can’t feed the whole of Ekiti, but the little I have, I am sharing with my people. It is my own way of supporting the efforts of Governor Kayode Fayemi, and telling our people that at this critical period, my thoughts and prayers are with them, particularly the widows, the vulnerable, and the aged.”

The commissioner, who is also a member of the 40- Man Taskforce for COVID-19 inaugurated by Governor Fayemi said, ” We will continue to spread the message of hope to the needy. I equally call on other individuals blessed by God, to show compassion by assisting our people, particularly the vulnerable members of our community, at this critical time.”

Olumilua enjoined all and sundry to adhere strictly to the directives of the government to stay home, and stay safe.

“Let’s adhere to all precautionary measures outlined by government and the health authorities, to enable us stay free from the COVID-19 pandemic”, he counselled.

According to the commissioner, the gesture is done without any political consideration as he maintained that ” hunger has no political coloration”.

The people of Ikere prayed that God should grant him and his team many years, and prayed for his good health and renewed strength, to continue to serve God and humanity.
