Alleged assault: Portable pleads with Ogun Govt. to release his boys

Portable pleaded with Ogun State Government to release his associates who were arrested for allegedly attacking officers from the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA).
The incident developed when OGPDPA authorities arrived at Portable’s Odogwu bar and restaurant to close the premises due to a lack of valid licenses and insufficient air space.
Portable alleged that officials attacked his establishment, arrested around 20 people, including artists and customers, and confiscated automobiles, electronics, and personal things.
Portable’s assertions, however, were denied as “spurious and blatant falsehood” by the commissioner for physical planning, Olatunji Odunlami.
Nine people were arraigned on a five-count charge, including armed violence, felony, obstruction, assault, and intent to kill.
They were granted bail of N5 million each with sureties who are licensed bond agents registered with the state government.
The case was adjourned until March 17 for further hearing.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, Portable appealed to the Ogun state government to release his associates, arguing that they are his apprentices learning trades.
He denied the accusations of assault, calling them “lies,” and challenged the Ogun officers to provide video evidence of the alleged assault.
Portable, who appeared to be speaking from hiding, said he is being “targeted and set-up by some certain individuals”.
The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ hitmaker’s plea was accompanied by a desperate warning, saying he was contemplating taking his own life due to the overwhelming stress and frustration caused by the situation.
“I am from an humble background. I am not fighting with anybody till you set me up. Although you get money by looking for trouble but I did not fight no one,” he said in a mixture of pidgin English and Yoruba.
“They came to the house I am just building and you took my boys. There kids I am taking care of. We have apprentices among them learning different trades.
“They lied against us. My glory will kill my enemy. The house they sealed was the land from which I exhumed my mother’s corpse who died when I was 13 years old. I later built a mansion on the land. The issue of canceling my house is a different case entirely.
“They should provide evidence of where I was assaulting the officers. Those children cannot harm anyone. They are learning trades. I am helping those children. Did they find Indian hemp with me?
“I am begging you in God’s name. Help me release those boys. I am already in deep thought. I must not commit suicide. I did not do anything. You cannot kill me.”

Reekado Banks threatens to expose ‘demonic’ music industry figure

Popular singer, Reekado Banks has threatened to expose a saboteur of budding talents in the Nigerian music industry.
Banks described the mysterious figure as either “demonic or clueless”, adding that the person somehow manages to find the best talent whose careers he sabotages with poor decisions.
The singer hinted that the individual has a history of attracting emerging talents, which ultimately sabotages their success, and he promised to reveal the person in an upcoming interview.

He stood by me when I was rejected – Daddy Freeze finally admits friendship with Hushpuppi

Daddy Freeze, a popular On Air Personality and influencer has finally admitted to being friends, with embattled Nigeria fraudster and socialite, Hushpuppi.
Gatekeeper recalls that Hushpuppi whose real name is Ramon Abbas, was arrested by the FBI in 2020, and convicted of internet fraud in the U.S.
Before his arrest, Daddy Freeze in 2019 shared videos of his visit to Hushpuppi’s Dubai Palazzo Versace home on his YouTube.
Netizens had criticized Daddy Freeze for associating with a criminal and promoting Hushpuppi’s extravagant lifestyle.
Defending himself in the past, Freeze claimed he never knew Hushpuppi to be a criminal but an influencer.
However, Daddy Freeze in a new video shared by Tunde Ednut on Sunday, admitted to being friends with Hushpuppi, despite suspecting that his money was not legit.
“Hushpuppi has never given me money before, not even $1. But Hushpuppi gave me friendship when nobody wanted to be my friend because they believed I was the devil.
“ The first time I met Hushpuppi was when I was picked with some influencers to go to Dubai, and I’d already started the movement then (#FreeTheSheepple) but the influencers didn’t like me. And that was the time the church that I attended for 10 years rejected me. Everybody rejected me. Then Hushpuppi sends me a DM that ‘where are you, come over’.
“So we hung out with some of our friends and we gist, took pictures, and put on his snapchat. So, why won’t I be friends with someone who was my friend, how am I going to be angry with him? I might have guessed that his money was not legit. But Davido in one of his songs said ‘dey for who dey for you”.
