AFCON Final: Ex-Senate President, David Mark urges Super Eagles to win trophy
Excited by the performance of Super Eagles so far in the ongoing African Cup of Nation, AFCON competition, former Senate President, David Mark, on Friday, charged them to win the trophy in Sunday’s final.
He said, as a sports enthusiast, their victory over Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the semi-final on Wednesday was a memorial of honour done to Nigeria, while urging Super Eagles to sustain the winning spirit in Ivory Coast.
According to a statement he issued and made available to journalists on Friday, the ex-Senate President expressed joy.

He said the statement was his personal message to officials and players of the Super Eagles, stating that “the match was full of suspense, twists and turns but in the end, Nigeria triumphed. This victory is hard won. We cannot take it for granted .
We are proud of how far you have come. Coming ahead on Sunday is the most important match of all. Go for the gold and bring the trophy home”.
