AFCON 2023: DR Congo players dress in club jerseys for team photo
Ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the Leopards of the Democratic Republic of the Congo have gone unconventional as they decided to take their team photo donning their respective club jerseys.
The Central African country has been camping in Abu Dhabi as it prepares for the continent’s largest football tournament.
Before their departure to Ivory Coast, the players chose to represent their respective clubs in the team’s group photograph.
DR Congo will conclude their pre-AFCON preparations with an international friendly against Burkina Faso on Wednesday before departing for Cote d’Ivoire.
The two-time African champions will be based in San Pedro and will face Morocco, South Africa, and Namibia in Group F.
