The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has responded to a request for road construction within the Federal Housing Estate in Lugbe, clarifying the limits of the FCT Administration’s responsibilities.

Speaking during an inspection of two critical road projects in the Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Wike highlighted the administration’s infrastructure priorities.

The roads inspected were the 10.5-kilometre Kabusa/Ketti road, which connects Kabusa, Pyakasa, and Ketti districts, and the 9.8-kilometre Kabusa/Takushara road, which links Kabusa, Takushara, and Wasa districts.

The FCT Minister stated that the responsibility for infrastructure within the estate lies squarely with the Federal Housing Authority, FHA, and not the FCT Administration.

He explained that the FCT Administration’s focus is on roads that link major districts and satellite towns, not internal roads within housing estates.
