Transfer: Casemiro told to leave Man United

Manchester United midfielder, Casemiro has been told to leave the club.
Former Brazil midfielder, Gilberto Silva noted that the former Real Madrid star is still a good player and should move to Arsenal.
Casemiro received scrutiny from fans and pundits alike last season for his poor performances for the Red Devils.
The Brazilian midfielder, 32, played 32 games across all competitions for the Red Devils, majorly as a defender.
Silva told Bet365, “We have to analyse the team itself and not players individually like Casemiro. Manchester United didn’t have a good season, they had a few good performances but having a bad season like that impacts everyone.
“Some players are impacted more than others and I was honestly surprised by how battered Casemiro was by pundits. They need to just calm down and see the whole picture.
“For me, Casemiro is still a good player. I don’t know whether he’s going to stay or not in the club, but he’s a player I would love to have on my team.
“I think he still has the ability and capacity to stay in the Premier League, whether he’s going to be at United or any other club.
“It depends on what he and the club want to do. I hope he can find a club that matches his expectations.
“Casemiro could be a good fit for Arsenal, let’s wait and see what happens. It would be very interesting if Thomas Partey left the club.
“If that spot becomes available, then it would be interesting to see Casemiro there, he would bring a very strong and stable option to their midfield.”

2026 WCQ: Super Eagles must beat South Africa to qualify — Chelle

Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle says it is important for the team to beat the Bafana Bafana of South Africa if they must qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Bafana Bafana will host Nigeria in a matchday eight encounter in September.
Hugo Broos’ side lead Group C with 13 points after six matches, six points clear of Super Eagles.
There are four rounds of matches left in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Chelle admitted that the Super Eagles are condemned to win all their remaining matches.
“It’s an obligation we win in South Africa, but the most important match for us right now is Rwanda in Uyo,” Eric Chelle told SCORENigeria
“South Africa are a good side, but for that game we cannot afford to allow them play.
“But first we have to beat Rwanda at home and then we will focus on the game in South Africa.”
