What my son told me about Naira Marley — Mohbad’s father testifies in court

Mr Joseph Aloba, the father of deceased singer Ilerioluwa Aloba (aka Mohbad), told a coroner’s court on Wednesday that the deceased had been living with singer Azeez Fashola (aka Naira Marley) since December 2019.
Joseph testified during a coroner’s inquest into the death of his son.
The musician died on Sept. 12 and was buried the following day. He was 27 years old.
His death has generated controversy, prompting the Lagos State Government to direct a coroner’s inquest.
The inquest began on Oct. 13 and is taking place at the Ikorodu Magistrate’s Court in Lagos State.
Joseph told the coroner, Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi, that he and his son lived together for 18 years.
He said he did not know the exact house where his late son lived with Marley.
He testified that his son left his house at the age of consent and began to assist Marley while embarking on his own career in music.
Joseph said that he saw the deceased three days before his death.
He added that he saw the deceased’s casket only in a picture.
According to him, his son assured him that he would be able to handle his dispute with Marley.
Joseph testified that the deceased’s landed property was in the custody of his mother-in-law, adding that the deceased often told him about his possessions held by his wife and her family.
He claimed that Mohbad’s wife put sleeping pills into his food when they lived with Marley.

The actor noted that some of the service fees are peculiar to Nigeria, stressing that they need to be challenged.
On his X handle, AY wrote, “Where do banks get the trillions they declare as profits every quarter, even in a struggling economy? The small charges and debits on our accounts need to be challenged. Many of these fees are unique to Nigeria. Why is that? #BankingFees #Nigeria #Transparency #Shalom”

Edo killings: We can’t be counting scores with lives of Nigerians – Mr Macaroni

Popular content creator, Mr Macaroni said those defending the mob killings of 16 travellers in Uromi, Edo State are doing a great disservice to the nation.
He said there is no justification for jungle justice, noting that it must be unanimously condemned.
Mr Macaroni stated this in an X post on Monday.
“Dearest Nigerians, please we must resist the urge to defend evil of any kind.
“Crime is Crime!Whenever we justify crime, we open the door for criminals to keep committing crime.
“We cannot be counting scores with the lives of Nigerians while those that are responsible for safeguarding the lives of the people continue to play politics.
The mobbing and killing of the 16 northern hunters in Edo State is evil just as any previous attack on the lives of Edo people is also evil.
“The killing or destruction of lives and properties of any Nigerian in any state is evil!”
He added, “We have a duty to speak against evil at all times whether it affects us or not lest we lose our humanity.”
