Just In: Politicians want to smear our DG, DSS cries out

The director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS), Yusuf Bichi, and a few other of its top officers are the targets of a scheme, according to the DSS, including certain unknown politicians.

The DSS’s spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, said in a statement on Tuesday that the lawmakers are fighting “the service’s unwavering stance on several crucial governance and policy issues.”

Afunanya claimed that the politicians are defaming Bichi by utilizing non-governmental and civil organizations.

The DSS asked the public to “be wary of these tendencies and ignore the antics of dark forces out to impugn the character of the DG”.
