Reconciliation: PDP Special Reconciliation Committee For Lagos, Osun States takes off

As a build-up to the peace process within the party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted a 9-man reconciliation Committee for Lagos and Osun States.

According to the party’s Zonal Publicity Secretary, Sanya Atofarati, the committee members are saddled with the responsibility of addressing all issues within its members in the two States.  Their inaugural meeting was held at the Osuntokun Zonal office of the party in Ibadan, Oyo state on Friday, May 6, 2022.

The committee has former governorship candidate of the party in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede SAN as its chairman and former Ekiti governorship aspirant Kayode Adaramodu as Secretary, respectively.

Present at the commencement of the meeting includes all members of the Zonal Executive Committee and party State Chairmen across the six states of the zone.

The zonal chairman, Soji Adagunodo in his address, harps on the need for unity among party leaders in ensuring victory for the party across the western states in coming elections.

In his comments, the chairman of the committee, Eyitayo Jegede SAN, assured the committee’s readiness to use the privilege of the assignment and its experience to bring back the party to its winning streak.

After the Inaugural meeting, the Committee then paid a courtesy visit to the Oyo State Governor, H.E. Seyi Makinde. The Governor admonished the committee to leave no stone unturned in ensuring all stakeholders and interests are captured. He assured them of his support where and when necessary
