BREAKING: FG Suspends Controversial Ruga Settlement Project

The Federal Government has announced the suspension of the planned Ruga settlement project.

According to Channels Television, a source in the Presidency revealed the FG’s decision to suspend the programme, which has generated mixed reactions from Nigerians.

The Presidency source also revealed that the Nigeria Governors’ Forum would be addressing the issue soon.

However, Nobel Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka, has warned the Federal Government against the proposed establishment of Ruga settlements across the country for herdsmen.
