Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture, has said that the Federal Government is making serious efforts to trace at least 4,370 persons of interest in relation to the coronavirus outbreak in Nigeria.
Lai Mohammed called on Nigerians to who have had contact with persons suspected to be have been infected with the virus to report themselves to the appropriate agencies.
The Minister also denied the report that President Muhammadu Buhari is still sick even after testing negative for the disease.
Referring to this claim as fake news, he said: “Mr. President is well and fully in charge of the country. Some have alleged that the President is coughing…”
Earlier, the Presidency has confirmed that the President tested negative for the novel coronavirus infection.
Femi Adesina, the special adviser to the president on media and publicity, made the confirmation in a statement on Wednesday, March 25. The Presidential Spokesperson said the result was a thing of joy.
Similarly, amidst coronavirus scare in Aso Rock Villa, the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, had tested negative for the global disease also known as Covid-19.
This was made public by Femi Ojudu, the special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on political affairs, on Wednesday, March 25.
