2023: We Will Deliver Ekiti For Atiku/Okowa – Ekiti PDP Assures

Ekiti State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has inaugurated its Presidential Campaign Council with an assurance of delivering the state for its Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

The inauguration which was held in Ado-Ekiti had in attendance the party’s faithful across the sixteen local government areas of the state.

Speaking during the inauguration, the Legal Adviser of the party, Barr. Sunday Owolafe, appreciated the National Chairman of the party, Senator Iyocha Ayu for deeming it fit to constitute the PCC.

Owolafe, who stood in for the SWC, said the PCC’s list was all-encompassing. He said the list covered every faction within the party.

In his remarks, the Acting Chairman of Ekiti Presidential Campaign Council, Hon. Makanjuola Ogundipe said Ekiti PDP is focused and united to win the 2023 general election and to revamp the battered economy.

“What is required is our unalloyed commitment to winning the Presidential election in the next 2 months so that we can together revamp the battered economy of Nigeria, as enlisted by the incoming President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON. There is no room for failure,” he said.

Also speaking at the inauguration, the immediate past zonal Chairman of the party, Dr. Eddy Olafeso said the purpose of the party’s political engagement was not warfare, noting that PDP members still remain one big family.

” The purpose of our political engagement is not warfare. We are members of the same family, the PDP. Let’s bring to bear the civility of our characters, as we preach unity not division, love not hatred,and compassion not totality.

” This is another opportunity offered to prove critics wrong. We have done it before but without reward, not that we did not deserve it, but taken away unilaterally by the power that was. By our actions, let us go out there to galvanize support for our party, the PDP, and our Principal, and incoming President H.E Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON, The Waziri of Adamawa,” he said.

Aside from the party faithful, other groups which graced the occasion were Hausa, Ebira, Tiv communities, Okada riders association, and Private sector representatives.
