Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi has officially joined the race to replace President Muhammadu Buhari from May 29th, 2023.

On Wednesday, Fayemi in Abuja said “After a careful consideration on where we are as a nation…I believe that my entry into the race will offer Nigerians the opportunity to examine competing visions for national rebirth.”,

As part of his manifesto, he promised to ensure youth empowerment when he becomes the president.

His Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode said Fayemi, had after discussing his plan to run for the number one office with President Mohammadu Buhari last month, sought counsel, guidance and support from traditional and political leaders across states in the federation.

It would be recalled that Fayemi is the 8th aspirants vying for the president’s posting on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC).

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rotimi Amaechi, Chris Ngige, Ibikunle Amosun, and Rochas Okorocha have all obtained their nomination forms.

Others are Yemi Osinbajo, Yahaya Bello and recently Kayode Fayemi.
