2023: PDP Announces N40m Forms Fees For Presidential Aspirants
On zoning, the PDP NEC has approved the establishment of a 37-member zoning Committee to make recommendations for the zoning of various elective positions for the 2023 general elections.
The opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has announced N40 million as Expression of Interest and Nomination forms fees, for its Presidential aspirants in the 2023 general elections.
PDP made the announcement in the communiqué issued Wednesday, by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, at the end of the party’s 95th National Executive Committee (NEC), held at the PDP National secretariat, FCT Abuja.
The communiqué announced that while the party’s Governorship Expression of Interest is N1, 000,000; Nomination form is N20, 000,000; the Senate expression of Interest is N500, 000, the Nomination form is pegged at N3, 000,000. Similarly, the Expression of Interest for the House of Representatives is N500, 000, while Nomination form is N2, 000,000
For the States’ House of Assembly, the communiqué stated that the aspirants expression and nomination form fees are N100, 000 and N500, 000 respectively.
NEC, the communiqué added, has approved the commencement of sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms from Thursday, March 17, 2022.
On its preparations for the 2023 general Elections, Ologunagba said the PDP NEC has approved its Electoral Guidelines for the conduct of Primary Elections, as well as
the timetable and schedule of activities of the for the 2023 general elections.
The NEC, Ologunagba disclosed, has also approved a 50 per cent reduction in nomination fees for youths aged 25 to 30 years for various elective positions.
